Comcast fiber optics cables have been cut in at least six different places around Houston. This has disrupted phone, and cable service for over 50,000 area users for several hours each time. During these outages, any security systems customers depending on their alarms to be monitored for fire or burglary via the Comcast cables would also have been without service.
